The appropriation specifically funds projects that eliminate the use of R-22 refrigerant or <br /> improve indoor air quality in ice arenas. <br /> Available grants are in the following amounts: <br /> ■ $250,000 for developing new ice sheets <br /> ■ $200,000 for improving indoor quality in ice arenas <br /> ■ $400,000 for eliminating R-22 refrigeration for direct cooling systems <br /> ■ $ 50,000 for eliminating R-22 refrigeration for indirect cooling system <br /> The city will be applying for the grant awarding$400,000 to replace the rink's direct cooling systems. <br /> Financial Impact <br /> N/A <br /> Attachments <br /> ■ Resolution <br /> ■ James Metzen Mighty Ducks Grant Application <br /> POWERED 6T <br /> AR <br />
