RESOLUTION No. 16-11 <br /> BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> ELK RIVER MUNICIPAL UTILITIES <br /> A RESOLUTION OF BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF ELK RIVER <br /> MUNICIPAL UTILITIES RECOGNIZING CUSTOMER SERVICE WEEK, <br /> OCTOBER 3-7,2016 <br /> WHEREAS, Elk River Municipal Utilities (ERMU)provides electric and water utility <br /> services within the City of Elk River,the City of Otsego,the City of Dayton, and Big <br /> Lake Township; and <br /> WHEREAS,the ERMU mission statement specifies: "To provide our customers with <br /> safe,reliable, cost effective and quality long term electric and water utility service. To <br /> communicate and educate our customers in the use of utility services,programs,policies, <br /> and future plans. These products and services will be provided in an environmentally and <br /> financially responsible manner"; and <br /> WHEREAS,providing excellent customer service is an essential component of <br /> successfully operating in accordance with the ERMU mission statement and an <br /> expectation of our customers; and <br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: that ERMU will continue to work to bring <br /> lower-cost, safe, reliable electricity,water, and security system services to community <br /> homes and businesses just as it has since the utility was created; and <br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: that ERMU will encourage their employees to <br /> take initiative and continue to provide new and more efficient ways of providing <br /> excellent customer service; and <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: that the week of October 3-7 be designated Customer <br /> Service Week in order to honor ERMU and its staff for the continued commitment to <br /> providing excellent customer service. <br /> This Resolution Passed and Adopted this day of , 2016. <br /> John J.
