Meeting of the Elk River City Council <br />Held at the Elk River City Hall <br />Monday, August 1, 2016 <br />Members Present: Mayor Dietz, Councilmembers Olsen, Burandt, Westgaard, and <br />Wagner <br />Members Absent: None <br />Staff Present: City Administrator Calvin Portner, Interim Finance Director Lori <br />Ziemer, Parks and Recreation Director Michael Hecker, <br />Environmental Technician Kristin Mroz, Planning Manager Zack <br />Carlton, Recreation Manager Steve Benoit, Street Superintendent <br />Mark Thompson, Engineer Justin Femrite, City Clerk Tina Allard, <br />Arena Manager Rich Czech, Parks Superintendent Tim Sevcik, HR <br />Representative Lauren Wipper, Library Branch Manager Will <br />Hollerich, City Attorney Peter Beck, and Executive Secretary/Deputy <br />City Clerk Jessica Miller <br />Call Meeting to Order <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the meeting of the Elk River City Council <br />was called to order at 6:31 p.m. by Mayor Dietz. <br />2. Pledge of Allegiance <br />The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. <br />Consider 08 /01/2016 Agenda <br />Moved by Councihnember Wagner and seconded by Councilmember <br />Westgaard to approve the August 1, 2016, agenda. Motion carried 5-0. <br />4. Consider Consent Agenda <br />Councilmember Wagner made a minor correction to the July 18 minutes, page 7 with <br />the paragraph beginning Councilmember Wagner stated she is not sure what is used to define <br />trees. She stated she would like the ordinance to allow the applicant other options if <br />they have a heavily wooded lot, etc. <br />Moved by Councilmember Westgaard and seconded by Councilmember <br />Olsen to approve the following consent agenda: <br />4.1 July 18, 2016, regular meeting minutes as amended. <br />4.2 Check register, check numbers 97746-97913 and 9860 as outlined in the <br />staff report. <br />
