1 ,
• Determine required permits.
Staff received a response from the Downtown Rivers Edge Business Association on June 23, 2016,
answering some of the questions proposed by staff and Council as well as potential designs. A follow-up
meeting wasinducted on July 28, 2016 to further discuss the requirements of the project and
information tart avgs required.
It is understood that requiring ADA accessibility in this area adds substantial costs to the project. The
DNR representative indicated that not all of their docks are ADA accessible, however they do state that
they do have ADA accessible docks within the same geographic area. In this case, there will be no other
ADA docks within the area. The Commission will need to determine and recommend whether or not to
require an ADA-accessible dock.
Financial Impact
None
Attachments
• Letter from Annie Deckert,Decklan Group—June 23, 2016
• Design Concepts
1 C \Uscrs\Iwetch\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files\Content.Outlook\RT5ZIL5X\Rivers Edge Commons
Dock.docxN:ADepartments\Parks and Recreation\Cw rT\P \244 OF 1-6-11RC I3aeket special meeting\sr Woodland Trails Park
a. la .max
