I have talked with Kim Brynlldson from MPCA on this
today. It takes 300 animal units for a feedlot. The property in question would
be a manure storage area for short term which we understand has to be land
applied within one year of the date when the stockpile was formed. We have
the rules & regulations as set forth by MPCA for Stockpiling of Manure. The site
has plenty of room to meet all guidelines. There Is a natural barrier already in
place along the ditch and wet land area as shown on the John Oliver survey.
There are trees as well as vegetative cover w~ich have been there for many year

It is also being taken into consideration that "berms" could need to be placed
In strategic points. 1 talked to Judy at Sherburne County Soli &
Water Conservation District and was directed to talk to Bill who will be In
on November 17th. I am scheduled to call him at 11:30 on that date.

When you speak of only 23 acres....the acreage In Big Lake not being considered
as part of the farm......l want to add the fact that there are 2.5 acres adjacent to
this property which Kevin has first chance on which would give them 25 acres in
City of Elk River.

If 1 can help In anyway, please call.

/"

son
