Image: Proposed Construction Staging and Parking Areas <br /> <br />Background <br />At its December 6, 2004 meeting, tbe City Council approved a final development agreement <br />with MetroPlains Development for the Downtown Revitalization Project. The agreement <br />includes tbe phasing and timing of tbe project, the financial commitment of MetroPlains, as <br />well as tbe assistance provided by tbe City. <br /> <br />The development agreement also indicates that prior to construction, tbe following plans <br />will be reviewed and considered for approval by tbe City Council: <br /> <br />1. Construction plans, which will include a parking plan for post construction <br />2. Parking plan for tbe construction staging period <br /> <br />Issue <br />Parking Plan for Construction Staging Period <br />At this time, MetroPlains submitted tbe attached letter requesting Council approval to use <br />tbe two city-owned lots located nortb of Hwy 10 downtown for construction staging and <br />parking. The attached image indicates tbe exact location of tbe two lots in addition to tbe <br />private parking offered to MetroPlains for staging or parking during construction. Vern <br />Hanson of MetroPlains will be available at tbe City Council meeting to answer questions. <br />
