. 6. GENERAL BUSINESS <br /> 6.1 Librarian's Report: <br /> Will gave update on fall programs. Plans to utilize electronic counters to tally participants. <br /> GRRL installed seven new computers. <br /> 6.2 Regional Supervisor's Report: Board of Trustees meeting tonight. Plans are <br /> to hire a consultant to search for a new Director. Brandi going on a Medical leave for <br /> several weeks. Any GRRL concerns should be forwarded to Will in Brandi's absence. <br /> 6.3 Old Business <br /> • Distribute to Board Members: GRRL Annual Reports, Updated City Board <br /> Handbooks <br /> • Landscape Update: Final Invoice from Great Northern Landscapes was <br /> accepted and paid. Question: Newly planted trees need to be evaluated <br /> in spring to determine if survived. Additional pine trees may need to be <br /> removed in the spring if they do not survive until spring. Rodney is aware <br /> of questionable survival of trees. <br /> • Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) 2015-2019: Will and Tim Simon <br /> worked on document. Board discussion. This is a new document that <br /> Board will start to do yearly to give the Council an idea of what are short/ <br /> long term needs/cost that are related to the Library. Note: City is doing <br /> the street project and perhaps Library asphalt needs can be included in <br /> the street project. Jayne has already contacted Rodney about getting <br /> bids for concrete and asphalt for front entrance. She will contact Rodney <br /> regarding forwarding this information to Justin, City Engineer for <br /> consideration and combining with the City Street Project. This is a high <br /> • priority that this is done as soon as weather permits. <br /> • On Wednesday, November 12, 2014, an 84 year old patron fell while <br /> walking to her car. Staff called 911 and patron transported to hospital. <br /> Question: How to address blood on the side walk? Mayor to check with <br /> city staff how this should be handled. <br /> 6.4 New Business <br /> • Nicole Novotny Departure: The position will be advertised. All people to <br /> apply and be interviewed by the Council and Appointed by the Mayor. <br /> Nicole expressed regrets leaving. <br /> • Mary has applied to GRRL Board and will most likely be approved. <br /> • Minute's format: Discussed and reviewed. <br /> • Memo from Cal, City Administrator regarding meeting held with Will and <br /> Brandi will be shared by Mayor John Dietz at the January meeting. <br /> 7.
