<br />rll ---'\) <br />( ); <br />Ell{ <br /> <br />Item #4.2. <br /> <br /> <br />MEMORANDUM <br /> <br />TO: <br /> <br />Mayor & City Council <br /> <br />FROM: <br /> <br />Phil Hals, Street/Park Supt. <br /> <br />DATE: <br /> <br />June 24, 1998 <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Safety Camp Update <br /> <br />The City of Elk River Safety Camp was a SUCCESS!!!! <br /> <br />Under the leadership of Chairperson Lori Ziemer, staff members from the <br />police department, fire department, wastewater treatment plant, finance <br />department, street department, area recreation, and municipal utilities <br />planned and provided assistance for the actual camp days. Funding was <br />provided by the City of Elk River with cash donations from the American <br />Legion and First National Bank. <br /> <br />All members of the committee did a commendable job in support of this <br />project, but I think that Michele Bergh of Area Recreation deserves special <br />recognition for all of her work in scheduling, logistics, organizing, and <br />coordinating. <br /> <br />Attached is a summary of the camp's evaluations. Staffis as pleased with <br />the results as the camp attendees were. Plans are now being discussed for <br />next year's camp. <br /> <br />Marissa Lee has some video footage from the Safety Camp that she will be <br />showing at Monday's meeting. <br /> <br />13065 Orono Parkway · P.O.
