This assessment has revealed no evidence
of recognized environmental conditions in connection with the Property.

The following is a summary of items of environmental significance noted for the Property which
may require existing or future environmental evaluation/compliance activities.

.

A drinking water well reportedly exist on the Property. Wells are of interest because
they provide potential pathways for contaminant migration to the subsurface from sources
located above or below the ground. If any of the wells are not being used in the future,
it is recommended that the they be abandoned by a licensed contractor, according to
MDH codes.

.

A septic system reportedly exists on the Property. Septic systems are a potential concern
as they are a direct pathway for contaminants to reach the subsurface soil and
groundwater. If not in use, the septic system should be properly abandoned.

.

Fluorescent lamps were noted in the house and thermostats may also be present on the
Property. These lamps contain small amounts of mercury, lead and sometimes cadmium,
heavy metals which may be toxic in small amounts. Federal regulations prohibit the
disposal of these lamps in landfills. Spent fluorescent lamps and thermostats that contain
hazardous waste must be managed as hazardous wastes.

.

One fluorescent light fixture was observed in the house. The associated ballast may
contain PCBs. Unless ballasts are determined to be non-PCB items based on labeling or
chemical analysis, they should be treated as PCB containing items. Ballasts may
continue to be used without restriction unless fluid leakage or damage occurs.
