6.3 Regional Library Report: See attachment. Mary Eberley's next GRRL <br /> meeting is in September, she will update the board at the September meeting. <br /> 6.4 Old Business: The Board walked the property to make a final decision on the <br /> location for the sculpture. The board viewed 4 suggested locations, deciding on the location <br /> between the prairie grasses and the butterfly garden. Willie Jackson moved and Mary <br /> Eberley seconded. Motion passed 4 to O.The board proposed to hold the unveiling of the <br /> Sculpture in conjunction with ERMU anniversary celebration on August 27. The library board <br /> would host the unveiling from 3-4pm. (The board agreed to use August 28 as a backup <br /> date.) Colleen will check with the EDA & ERMU to confirm that these details, take care of <br /> advertising, marketing &will update Will. Will is to update the board & Friends of the Library <br /> on these details. <br /> [Added detail from Willie Jackson in e-mail to Board on 7/31/2015: <br /> Colleen Eddy is coordinator of the sculpture project. She shared it is a city project. <br /> Therefore, she will work directly with EDA& ERMU to address specific details related to the <br /> installation of the prize winning sculpture. Colleen will facilitate and communicate with <br /> appropriate agencies, departments, take care of advertisement, marketing and continual <br /> contact with Carl Zachmann, Sculptor regarding completion. The Library Board Members <br /> supports the location and unveiling ceremony which will occur August 27, 2015 or August <br /> 28, 2015. Board Members will be present to serve as host/ assistance on the day of the <br /> unveiling. Colleen will provide updates to Will to share with Library Board Members & <br /> Friends of the Library. ] <br /> 6.5 New Business: The MN Library Association Annual Fall Conference will be <br /> in St Paul October 8 & 9. Registration opens online August 3. Will is sending board <br /> members more info on the conference in the following week. The cost of the conference <br /> and mileage will be reimbursed. Board members are encouraged to review the content of <br /> the conference and attend if able. <br /> The CIP will be updated by Will this week and sent to board members by the <br /> end of the week. The CIP will continue to be attached and reviewed at every meeting. The <br /> need for tree replacement will be discussed at the September meeting, as noted in the CIP. <br /> 7.
