Sedum is a common option for green roofs around the world, and is the main <br /> plant component of the roof on top of the Target Center in Minneapolis. In fact most <br /> succulents are good options for green roofs due to their drought resistance and their <br /> shallow root systems. Sedum in particular have been shown to survive up to four <br /> months without water. Temperate Minnesota has more than enough rain for a succulent <br /> like sedum. Unfortunately there is no native sedum species to Minnesota.6 <br /> Pasque flowers, or Anemone patens is a <br /> purple flowering native that gets about a <br /> half foot tall.
