Please pass along to anyone who may be interested. <br /> 5.2 University of St. Thomas Sustainable Communities Partnership <br /> Kristin will present the results of the Spring 2016 semester classes working on plastic bag <br /> reductions; GIS mapping of the William H. Houlton Conservation Area, bike lanes,and <br /> wetland buffers; and a green roof design for the Waste Water Treatment Facility. <br /> 5.3 Climate Smart Municipalities <br /> Kristin will provide an overview of the Climate Smart Municipalities program. See this article <br /> about the partnership! <br /> 5.4 Green Corps <br /> Elk River applied for and was awarded a MN Green Corps member to start in September of <br /> 2016. The member will focus on green transportation for the community and will work full <br /> time for one year. If you know of any young adults who may be interested in working for <br /> Green Corps,they are accepting applications now. <br /> 5.5 Energy City Action Plan Review and Updates <br /> The Energy City Action Plan was adopted in July of 2014.Annually,we like to review the <br /> plan to see what projects have been completed and what is left to do. Please see the attached <br /> version.
