8. Air Quality <br />The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency regulates crushing and screening <br />operations at the site. The processing equipment is in compliance with the opacity <br />requirements of the New Source Performance Standards and is permitted under the <br />Aggregate General Permit. The general permit provides flexibility for using different <br />processing configurations and various pieces of equipment, depending on the type of <br />product being produced. It outlines production requirements, including record keeping, <br />employee training, noncompliance prevention, and fugitive dust abatement and control <br />measures that must be maintained for compliance with the permit. Records of daily, <br />monthly and year-to-date production information is available for inspection. Water is <br />used to supplement moisture for control of fugitive emissions. Water for dust <br />suppression at this operation will be obtained from an on-site source. <br />
