City of <br />Elk az <br />— <br />River <br />Request for Action <br />To <br />Item Number <br />Mayor and City Council <br />8.2 <br />Agenda Section <br />Meeting Date <br />Prepared by <br />General Business <br />May 16, 2016 <br />RaeAnn Gardner, Communications Coordinator <br />Item Description <br />Reviewed by <br />Wayfinding Master Plan <br />Tina Allard, City Clerk <br />Reviewed by <br />Cal Portner, City Administrator <br />Action Requested <br />Approve, by motion, adopting the Wayfinding Master Plan <br />Background/Discussion <br />At the December 7, 2015, City Council Meeting it was requested by Council that we take the Wayfinding <br />Master Plan back to the original task force committee for review and to come to an agreement on any <br />changes to the plan. <br />The Wayfinding Master Plan was presented to the committee on March 3, 2016. The committee went <br />over every part of the plan and came to a consensus on changes to be made. The minor changes for park <br />signage include: <br />1) Added options for stone columns, poles, or stone and pole. <br />2) The font was changed for better readability (entire plan). <br />3) Removed the bases. <br />4) Added addresses. <br />The changes were forwarded to Visual Communications. The final changes were then sent to each <br />member of the committee for final review.
