• There must be documentation of a formal maintenance program for the <br /> skate park. The frequency of maintenance inspections will depend upon <br /> the hours of operation, facility use and park features. <br /> • Maintenance and inspection documentation must show that the structural <br /> integrity of each feature and the skate park overall is inspected frequently. <br /> • All skate park features must be in fixed positions (not portable). <br /> • An accident report must be completed by a city employee upon report of <br /> any accident or injury occurring at the facility. <br /> • Competitions must be restricted to only those sponsoring organizations <br /> that are able to provide separate insurance coverage and a contract holding <br /> the city harmless and indemnified. <br /> 2. Tier 2 skate parks <br /> Tier 2 skate parks have features greater than 48 inches in height,pyramids <br /> greater than 6 feet in height, and bowls greater than 6 feet in depth. <br /> Tier 2 skate parks that comply with LMCIT's loss control practices are <br /> charged a premium of$500 to $1,000 per feature or structure with a minimum <br /> premium of$2,500 and a maximum premium of$7,500. A city that has not <br /> implemented the loss control guidelines for tier 2 skate parks are charged a <br /> premium of$1,000 to $2,000 per feature with a minimum premium of$5,000 <br /> and a maximum premium of$15,000. <br /> In order to be eligible for the lower premium charge on tier 2 skate parks, <br /> LMCIT requires all tier 1 practices as well as the following: <br /> See LMC information • Fencing and/or other appropriate security measures must be in place to <br /> memo,Park and Recreation <br /> Loss Control Guide for control access to the park when it is not in operation. <br /> more joss control • Adequate, on-site supervision of the park must be present during all park <br /> recommendations. <br /> operating hours. <br /> • Waivers of liability must be signed by park users if they are age 18 or <br /> older.
