City Council Minutes Page 12 <br /> April 18,2016 <br /> ----------------------------- <br /> Consensus of the Council was to proceed with the current planning and bring back <br /> more formal agreements on a regular agenda. <br /> Mayor Dietz stated he appreciated MORC's assistance and thanked the group for <br /> coming to the meeting. <br /> 9.3 United States Post Office Site <br /> Mr. Carlton presented the staff report. <br /> Council discussed transportation, site access, and wanted the applicant to be aware <br /> of some possible road realignments in the area. They discussed the type of <br /> employment this project could bring. <br /> Council stated they were in support of the project moving forward. <br /> 9.4 Reflective Stop Signs <br /> Mr. Thompson presented the staff report. <br /> Mayor Dietz liked the reflective panels and how well they worked at night and felt it <br /> was a good plan to implement them in certain areas. <br /> No Parking Signs <br /> Mr. Thompson discussed the school district's request for No Parking signs due to bus <br /> access issues. <br /> Council consensus was to approve the signage requested. <br /> 9.5 Rental Dwelling Ordinance <br /> Chief Cunningham presented the staff report. <br /> Attorney Beck stated the ordinance was reviewed by legal. <br /> Mr. Portner noted, as rentals increase in the community,it is important to maintain <br /> the minimum housing standards; noting in the long-term when housing is kept in <br /> good repair,it's quicker to get the house back on the market and sold. <br /> Attorney Beck stated a public hearing is not required but suggested it come back <br /> under General Business in order to give landlords a chance to review it. <br /> 9.6 Pinewood Golf Course <br /> Mr. Portner presented the staff report. He stated if Pinewood is kept it should have a <br /> vision or master plan similar to Hillside as noted earlier in the meeting. He stated the <br /> UREJ <br />
