8. Air Quality <br /> The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency regulates crushing and screening <br /> operations at the site. The processing equipment is in compliance with the opacity <br /> requirements of the New Source Performance Standards and is permitted under the <br /> Aggregate General Permit. The general permit provides flexibility for using different <br /> processing configurations and various pieces of equipment, depending on the type of <br /> product being produced. It outlines production requirements, including record keeping, <br /> employee training,noncompliance prevention, and fugitive dust abatement and control <br /> measures that must be maintained for compliance with the permit. Records of daily, <br /> monthly and year-to-date production information is available for inspection. Water is <br /> used to supplement moisture for control of fugitive emissions. Water for dust <br /> suppression at this operation will be obtained from an on-site source. <br />
