From. Fernrite, Justin
Sent: Wednesday, February 10, 201610:23 AM
To: Carlton, Zachary
Subject: January 18, 2016 Letter response
Zach, Dere are my thoughts:
The Yale Street Feasibility Deport identified expansion of the existing basin, located northwest of the existing Yale
Court cul-de-sac, as a direct result to creating new impervious surfaces with tlne constriction of the frontage
road. When this frontage road is constructed, the previously mentioned basin will be expanded to the south to
provide storm water management for the new roadway unfrastructtre. This is part of the reason the City paid for
and acquired this frill property. While alternatives can be considered, they come with additional cost above the
investment we have already made. The costs relating to the treatment alternatives, suggested in the letter, adds to
the larger topic of funding for the projects needed public infrastructure (street, sidewalk, sanitary sewer, watermain,
stormwater management). To this point no possible founding sources have been identified for the public
infrastructure needed to build the applicants project. A comprehensive project fa nduug package should be
developed to clarify the viability of the applicants project, before deviations to an approved and adopted
engineering steady should be considered.
Justin Femrite P.E.
