Interim Use Permit 2016 — Elk River Lodge Elk River Lodge is requesting this IUP for 5 years. Elk River Lodge will continue to be operated as an extended stay property with clients staying a minimum of 30 days, which is how we have operated the building since 2011. An IUP will allow the time needed to acquire the 2 lots to the south and expand/add on to Elk River Lodge and transition into an apartment building, which is consistent with the City of Elk River's FAST study. Our hours of operations are Monday — Friday from 9am — 4pm with a minimum of 3 employees. There have been no modifications to the parking lot or parking stalls. There is no outdoor storage provided on the site. The City code does not define extended stay, which is why we are proposing the IUP. To address the life/safety concerns with the building, Elk River Lodge will continue to move forward with the required rental license and will go through the rental license process each year to ensure safety of the clients and staff at the property.
