Tim Steinbeck from Great River Energy will present the check. <br /> <br />Background/Discussion <br /> <br />Great River Energy has contributed $10,000 to The Elk River Police Department for the purchase of new <br />police ballistic helmets and vests. The department budgeted funds in 2015 to replace aging and worn <br />helmets and vests. This generous donation will offset a portion of the budgeted expense. <br /> <br />The purchase of up-to-date ballistic helmets and vests will assist and protect police officers as they <br />provide operational safety service to the community and companies such as Great River Energy. <br /> <br />Pursuant to Minnesota Statute §465.03, resolutions acknowledging contributions must be adopted by a <br />four-fifths vote. <br /> <br />Financial Impact <br /> <br />N/A <br /> <br />Attachments <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Resolution Acknowledging Donation <br /> <br /> <br />
