AGENDA ITEM NO. 9 .61 January 30, 1994 Elk River Area Chamber of Commerce Honorable Hank Duitsman Council Members City of Elk River 13065 Orono Parkway Elk River, MN 55330 Dear Mayor Duitsman and Council Members: The Chamber requests your presence and participation in a program for our members on Tuesday, March 21, 1995 at Elk River Country Club. We also include the EDA and HRA members in this invitation, along with Pat Klaers, Bill Rubin and Steve Ach. In the past, the Chamber has hosted a "State of the City" meeting every year. However, the last one was in January 1993. With the growth and changes that have occurred since that time, we know you'll have a lot of information to share with us centering around economic development. We would also celebrate Elk River's 10th anniversary as a Minnesota Star City and recent designation as an All Star City. •uggestions for topics might be updates on residential, industrial and commercial development, the new business park/West Hwy. 10, Industrial/McChesney Park, central business district, Hwy. 169/Main Street, 193rd Avenue, Elk Hills Drive, Elk Park Valu Center, EDA, HRA projects and future plans and projects. If it is practical after you determine how much time each presenter has, perhaps Chief Zerwas could address some business related issues from the law enforcement perspective. The time frame will be: 5:30-6:30 p.m. Social Hour 6:30 p.m. Dinner 7:15-8:45 p.m. Program with Q & A I will work with City staff to coordinate the program to assure that everyone is comfortable with their part on the agenda.
