Also enclosed with <br /> this memo is a notice of the third public workshop, scheduled for Thursday, <br /> July 20, 1995, at 6:30 PM in the Training Room of the Elk River City Hall. <br /> • Individuals having questions or comments are always welcome to contact the <br /> writer of this memo at 441-4905. <br /> June 29, 1995, Public Workshop Summary <br /> The second of three public workshops was held on Thursday, June 29, 1995, <br /> in the Training Room of the Elk River City Hall. A variety of individuals <br /> attended this session, including Riverfront Corridor Committee members, <br /> residents of the community, businesses, and representatives of various <br /> organizations (ie. the Area Chamber of Commerce and Arts Council, etc). <br /> Michael Schroeder and Paul Paige of Hoisington Koegler Group, Inc., <br /> presented workshop attendees with three design options related to the <br /> Mississippi Riverfront Pathway Project. <br /> Before presenting the options, time was spent reviewing various patterns and <br /> relationships that were drawn from community resources, such as historical <br /> perspective, environmental, and community-based. Three patterns and <br /> relationships were presented: distinct, linked, and unified. Each attempted <br /> to make the river more or less of what is occurring within the highway <br /> district, the downtown district, and the river district.
