• reason the city has requested this purchase option is so that we can be
assured that if things do not work out with TL Feeding and the existing
Business Park owners, we will have a site available for this company.
Additionally, another new possibility is the relocation of E & 0 Tool out of
the Industrial Park to the Gagne property. At this time we understand that
E & 0 Tool is looking to expand and that their preferred option is to construct
new and relocate in the Business Park.
One of the benefits for the city to move forward with this proposal if we can
get a commitment out of E & 0 Tool, is that Mr. Gagne would then also deed
the city a 48 acre parcel of property north of Highway 10, north of the Elk
River that is mostly in the flood plain. As the EDA or City Council may
recall, this property was once looked at as the Waco bridge area in our long
range transportation plan. Regardless that the bridge is now proposed to be
at Zebulon, this Waco property is very well suited for park development.
