• Annual Property Tax Survey <br /> The Citizens League and the Minnesota Taxpayers Association <br /> analyzes property taxes for non-agricultural homes in the Twin <br /> Cities metro area and non-metro Minnesota in communities with a <br /> population of at least 2,500. The survey is based upon 1996 property <br /> taxes on a hypothetical $105,000 home. Elk River is considered a <br /> non-metro city in this survey. <br /> In 1996, Elk River had the eleventh lowest property taxes of the 129 <br /> cities and townships surveyed.
