COMMUNITY VENTURE NETWORK
Public Resource Group, Inc.
INTRODUCTION
A principal reason for economic development in outstate areas is to foster growth of small
to medium sized businesses. Emerging businesses find that the reduced operating costs,
lower labor rates, and unified community support provide the maximum opportunities for
successful business growth.
• Many communities have established "revolving loan funds" and/or "equity capital"
programs for the purpose of fostering this type of growth within their communities. Too
often, however, the community and the entrepreneur never find each other.
Community Venture Network (CVN), founded in 1991, has been formed to assist
communities in identifying these potential prospects. CVN conducts an active outreach
program to identify these emerging businesses and educate them on the benefits of
seeking "outstate" community "investments."
• CVN
