Economic Development Authority Minutes Page 2 <br /> October 9, 2000 <br /> • • Prototype Proposal Format <br /> The City Administrator introduced Anika Duckor of Duckor and Associates. He <br /> indicated that he has requested Anita to put together a proposal to update the <br /> city logo. He explained that this project would deal with communication, <br /> consistency, presenting a professional image, and establishing guidelines on the <br /> use of the logo. Anita Duckor introduced Tammy Miller of Miller Design.Tammy <br /> Miller introduced herself as a graphic designer and stated she would be working <br /> with Anita Duckor on the project. Anita Duckor reviewed the scope of the <br /> project. It was noted that this project would be coordinated with the Municipal <br /> Utilities project. The City Administrator indicated that the EDA is being requested <br /> to contribute 25%of the project cost. <br /> COMMISSIONER MOTIN MOVED TO APPROVE THE COMMUNICATION STRATEGY <br /> AND BRAND PLAN FROM DUCKOR AND ASSOCIATE, INC. AND THAT THE EDA <br /> FINANCE 25%OF THE PROJECT. COMMISSIONER FARBER SECONDED THE MOTION. <br /> THE MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> 6. Development Projects-Update <br /> Catherine Mehelich provided the EDA with an update on several development <br /> projects. She invited the EDA to attend a joint meeting with the HRA and City <br /> Council on October 23 to discuss the downtown business area. Catherine <br /> updated the EDA on the Holt and Jackson city-owed site. She noted that the City <br /> • Council would soon see a development proposal for the purchase of the site. <br /> Catherine updated the EDA on the business incubator. Catherine also informed <br /> the EDA that the River City Snow Riders have requested a permit to build a <br /> snowmobile trail along the railroad and wetland area of the EDA's property in the <br /> East Business Park. The EDA requested to see a plat map to determine how the <br /> trail will affect the property prior to making a decision on this issue. <br /> 7. Other Business <br /> There was no other business. <br /> 8. Adjournment <br /> There being no other business, COMMISSIONER MOTIN MOVED TO ADJOURN THE <br /> MEETING. COMMISSIONER FARBER SECONDED THE MOTION.
