January 21, 2016

Rick Haugland
VIA EMAIL: myautobodyman@hotmail.com
21401 Highway 169
Elk River, MN 55330

RE: Zone Change and Conditional Use Permit Applications 60 Day Extension

Dear Mr. Haugland,

City staff did not receive the information requested in the letter dated January 12, 2016, by January
19, 2016. As a result, we will postpone your application until the February 23, 2016, Planning
Commission meeting.

City staff determined that a 60 day extension is necessary for this application in order to process the
Zone Change and Conditional Use Permit, which is subject to a 60 day review. The City Council
meeting was scheduled for February 16, 2016, and the 60 day deadline for your application is
February 28, 2016.

For this reason, the city is extending the initial 60-day agency action deadline by 60 days pursuant to
MN Statutes Chapter 15.99, Section 1, Subd. 3 (f).

The agency action deadline as extended is April 16, 2016. As such, your application is now
scheduled for the February 23, 2016, Planning Commission meeting and the March 21, 2016, City
Council meeting.

If city staff does not receive the requested information by February 8, 2016, we will move your
application forward with a recommendation of denial due to a lack of information.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Sincerely,

Chris Leeseberg, Senior Planner
Ph: 763.635.1033
Fx: 763.635.1090
cleeseberg@ElkRiverMN.gov
Phone: 763.635.1000

www.ElkRiverMN.gov
