COUNCILMEMBER <br />MOTlN SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 3-2. <br />Councilmembers Dietz and Thompson opposed. <br /> <br />Brod Larson. representing George Deschenes. indicated his concern with <br />this action os it eliminates a iot to possibly relocate the Descr,ene <br />businesses. <br /> <br />175'h Avenue <br /> <br />City Engineer Terry Maurer informed the council that Sherburne County <br />would be upgrading CSAH 12 in calendar year 2000 and may not be <br />nished by the time the city wonts to begin upgrading 175'h Avenue <br />tween Tyler Street and Fillmore Street. Mr. Maurer proposed that the <br />17 Avenue improvements be delayed untii the 2002 construction season <br />so th both construction projects were not happening at the same time. <br />Mr. Ma er stated that the TEA 21 grant for the 175'" Avenue <br />improvef\ents couid most likely be pushed back to 2002. <br />"'" <br /> <br />Mayor Klinzi>tc, indicated that she is not opposed to this delay because <br />she Objects"t~~. e P.. ossibility of including sewer and water in this project. <br />Mayor Klinzing ted that sewer and water shouldn't be extended down <br />175'" Avenue os I. ouid create more urban density residential <br />development.
