Developer and Applicant <br /> <br />The River Park residential development is proposed by Orrin Thompson <br />Homes. Orrin Thompson built his first three homes in 1946 and that laid <br />the foundation for the Company today. Between 1958 and 1960 in <br />Cottage Grove, Orrin Thompson built its first neighborhood of 1,200 <br />homes. In addition to Cottage Grove, the Company built large tracts of <br />homes in Bloomington and Richfield and nearly all of Coon Rapids and <br />Apple Valley. <br /> <br />The Company is responsible for building more than 37,000 homes in the <br />Twin Cities. Between WWII and 1974 when Orrin, the founder retired, one <br />out of every ten homes in the Twin Cities was built by Orrin Thompson <br />Homes. <br /> <br />US Home Corporation, the parent company of Orrin Thompson Homes, <br />has been named Builder of the Year three times by Professional Builder <br />magazine, one of the most respected publications in the industry. In <br />addition, Orrin Thompson has received numerous local awards for <br />innovative floors as well as Community designs. <br /> <br />In short, Orrin Thompson Homes is your Builder for the past, present and <br />future. <br /> <br />B. This includes: <br /> <br />1. Rezoning from R-1d to PUD, Planned Unit Development. <br />2. Conditional Use Permit for Residential PUD. <br />3.
