LLC has purchased an 81 percent interest in its PaR <br /> Nuclear utility fuel handling, crane, and service business. PaR Systems provides <br /> automation equipment to the aerospace, marine, industrial, food and beverage, <br /> government, and hazardous materials management markets. Westinghouse Electric <br /> Co. is a nuclear power company and supplier of nuclear plant products. Under terms <br /> of the deal, both PaR Systems and PaR Nuclear will remain in Shoreview. <br /> Two companies have announced plans to open facilities in Moorhead's Job <br /> Opportunity Building Zone (JOBZ) : Midwest Construction Services Inc. is a <br /> • North- and South Dakota-based holding company for seven separate companies <br /> that make and develop electricity-generating windmills. Fargo, N.D. -based <br /> RDO/PROffutt is the country's largest John Deere dealership and parts facility. <br /> The two companies will bring at least 150 new jobs to Moorhead over the next two <br /> years, announced Governor Tim Pawlenty . <br /> to LeCenter . Shetka Works <br /> The JOBZ program has attracted two companies , a <br /> startup manufacturer of tabletops, counters, and work surfaces from waste pulp, <br /> paper, and fiber products, estimates that it will employ between 20 and 40 people <br /> in its first year of production. Its owners have purchased a 24,000-square-foot <br /> building in LeCenter, and report that the company will invest $3.4 million in the <br /> operation. Electronic Assembly Specialists , a new business specializing in low- <br /> cost circuit board assembly, reports that it will employ up to 25 people in its first <br /> year, and plans to spend $750,000 to set up production. <br /> Barrel O' Fun , a Perham-based snack food manufacturer, has announced plans to <br /> build a $14 million production plant. The project will make the company Perham's <br /> first JOBZ program participant. According to the company, the building project will <br /> include a new 100,000-square-foot facility and will create 22 new production jobs in <br /> the next two years. Barrel O' Fun currently employs about 300 people and <br /> processes more than 50 million pounds of potatoes annually for its snack chips. <br /> Austin-based Hormel Foods Corp. has elected Jeffrey M. Ettinger its president <br /> and CEO—the ninth in the company's 113-year history. He succeeds Joel W. <br /> • Johnson , who has headed the multinational food processor since 1992.
