All 28 sub-zone communities were <br /> approved, including include 28 cities and six townships. <br /> Ar owhead Region Northeast Minnesota <br /> Includes portions of Koochiching, Itasca, Aitkin, Carlton, St. Louis, Lake and Cook <br /> counties. <br /> Proposed 5,569 acres and 50 sub-zone communities. Received 4,329 acres and 46 sub <br /> zone communities, which include 41 cities and 10 townships. <br /> Headwaters Region <br /> Includes portions of Lake of the Woods, Beltrami, Clearwater, Hubbard and Mahnomen <br /> counties. <br /> Proposed 3,167 acres. Received 2,076 acres. All sub-zone communities approved, <br /> including nine cities and two townships. <br /> Northwest Region — Land of the Dancing Sky <br /> Includes portions of Kittson, Roseau, Marshall, Pennington, Polk and Red Lake <br /> counties. <br /> Proposed 3,353 acres. Received 2,710 acres.
