REGULAR SEMI-MONTHLY LAMING OF THE <br />CITY COUNCIL OF ELK RIVER <br />HELD IN THE COUNCIL CHAMBERS OF THE CITY OFFICE BLDG. <br />June 7, '976 at 7:30 FM. <br />Members present Mayor Lundberg, Councilmembers Konop, Hudson and Syring. <br />The minutes of the May 17, 1976 meeting were reviewed; one correction was noted: The <br />motion regarding the Police Reserve tarring hand -guns should read 3-0 and not 3-1. As <br />there were no additions or corrections the minutes were approved as corrected. <br />Representative of Ron's Star Market met with the Council requesting approval to use city <br />parking lot spaces June 17, 1976 for launching and landing of an aerial balloon. Council <br />had no objections. <br />Due to the fact that the 5th of July is a legal holiday the Council changed the regular <br />scheduled council meeting date to the 6th of July, 1976 at 7:30 PM. <br />Charles Solheim met with the Council regarding the alley that runs across his property. <br />Moved by Councilmember Hudson and seconded by Councilmember Syring calling for a public <br />hearing to vacate that part of the alley lying easterly on lots 13, 14, 15, 16, Block 1, <br />North Park Addition for July 6, ;976 at 8:00 PM. Motion unardmously carried by a vote of <br />4-0. <br />Rex Oetinger, Zoning and Building Inspector, met with the Council and reviewed the status <br />of the Elk River Assembly of God Church project. <br />Dred <br />ity Engineer Ly! Swanson reviewed the FHA grant application. <br />ovbyouncilmbar Hudson and seconded by Councilmember Konop aurthorizing Mayor Lundberg <br />o execute the FHA grant application reouesting funds for the interceptor sewer line, motion <br />unanimously carried by a vote of 4-0. <br />Lyle Swanson presented the addencur.. to the preliminary engineering report on the 1976 Street <br />Improvements adding 5th Street from County Road 13 to Highway 169 new bituminous construction <br />dated June 4, 1976. <br />Moved by Councilmember Syring and seconded by Councilmember Hudson, accepting the preliminary <br />engineering report for the sewer, water, and street construction for School Street extension <br />west of Proctor Ave., Elk River, Minnesota. dated June 4, '_976. Motion unanimously carried <br />by a vote of 4-0. <br />Moved by Councilmember Hudson and seconded by Councilmember Konop approves and grants the <br />Set-Jp license renewal for Dick -s Main Tap. Motion unanimously carried by a vote of <br />4-0. <br />Moved by Councilmember Syring and seconded by Councilmember Hudson to put 50% of the 6,678 <br />revenue sharing allotment into Public Safety operating maintenance and 5M into Public trans- <br />portation operating maintenance for the Planned Use Report. Motion unanimously carried by <br />s vote of 4-0. <br />Ioved by Councilmember Hudson and seconded by Councilmember Konop boat launching will be <br />I <br />on York Street at Lake Orono.
