REGULAR SEMI-MONTHLY MEETING OF THE <br />CITY COUNCIL OF ELK RIVER <br />HELD IN THE COUNCIL CHAR ERS OF THE CITY OFFICE BLDG. <br />July 6, 1976 at 7:30 PM. <br />DMembers present Mayor Lundberg, Councilmembers Hudson and Syring. <br />The minutes of the June 21, 1976 meeting were reviewed as there were no additions or <br />corrections the minutes were approved as printed. <br />1 'Three citizens Harry Kreuser, Jerry Mechesney, Bob Dilly met with the Council regarding <br />the reopening of the old boat landing on York Avenue also discussed the problems with <br />the new boat landing. The Council stated that they present a petition requesting a <br />public hearing be held by the City Council regarding these problems. <br />8:05 PH. Mayor Lundberg declared the public hearingevacate that part of the alley <br />that is presently incruching on Mr. Solheims property. <br />A majority of the residence effected by the proposed vacating of the alley off of School <br />Street and 8th Street were in attendance for the public hearing. It was concluded that <br />a survey by our City Engineers be prepared before ary final action can be taken. <br />Moved by Mayor Lundberg and seconded by Councilmember Hudson calling for a hearing to improv <br />or vacate the alley that runs off of School Street to 8th Street for August 2, 1976 at 8:00 <br />PM. Motion unanimously carried by a vote of 3-0. <br />Moved by Councilmember Hudson and seconded by Councilmember Syring calling for the opening <br />of bids for the 1976 Street Improvements for July 26, 1976 at 7:00 PM in the Council Chamber <br />of the City Hall and authorizing the Clerk to advertise in the Construction Bulletin and the <br />Sherburne County Star News of the bid opening. Motion unanimously carried by a vote of 3-0. <br />Moved by Councilmember Syring and seconded by Councilmember Hudson approving the paying of <br />the General Governments bills for payment as listed. Motion unanimously carried by a vote <br />of 3-0. <br />No further business the meeting ajourned at 9:00 PM. <br />CharTE <br />Clerk -Treasurer <br />I] <br />
