Impacts and Support
• Adaptive controls are aimed to reduce delays and
stops by up to 30%.
• Adaptive controls are currently used in 29 other
states. Wisconsin has installed adaptive controls
on nearly 100 intersections.
• This solution has support of the Elk River Area
Chamber of Commerce's Transportation Task
Force, a panel of officials that included local and
state -level elected officials and local businesses
• Local Emergency Service Directors support an
improvement that will assist them in responding to
emergencies. This includes the ability to get the
volunteer on call fire fighters to the station more
efficiently.
• Elk River officials have held discussion with
MnDOT personal on this proposal. They have
indicated that without available funds to complete
the project, they have yet to develop refined
designs on the final implementation.
RNE COVyTI
f„
- EI kierAi- ea
CHAMBER
NNESOA I-) r C 0 N1 M E R L E
River
