“The City of Long Beach sent out request for qualifications to several professional design/construction firms.
After a lengthy review of qualifications, responding to our questions and concerns, and meeting with city
officials, I felt Spohn Ranch understood the intent most clearly to provide a safe, designated place for
skateboarders of all skill levels.
Jason and his team met witih local skateboarders and residents to incorporate their comments and concerns
into their design. The design they presented was a state-of-the-art park that naturally blended in the
surrounding environment at the City’s Recreation Center along Reynold’s Channel.
Phase II was the construction of the new park. The construction phase went smoothly. I found their crews to
be professional and the work was completed on schedule.
Our goal was to create a skatepark for all skill levels and Spohn Ranch took our request and exceeded our
expectations. I recommend this company to anyone looking for a successful collaborative project.”
- James LaCarrubba, City of Long Beach Department of Public Works

““We cut the ribbon at Fireman’s Skate and Bike Park with a large crowd of eager riders poised and ready to
make a run and the crowd has hardly diminished since. To put it simply, the park is a great success.
From the beginning planning stages, you and your team have been very responsive to the wants and needs of
the local community. The public workshops that you conducted proved to be productive and a useful tool for
gathering information. Spohn Ranch collaborated well with the local architects and engineers to keep the
project on budget and moving forward.
We are very proud of our skatepark and would recommend Spohn Ranch to others. One of our nearby
communities recently announced plans to construct their own skatepark and we were pleased to hear that
they chose Spohn Ranch as their skatepark designer.”
- Michel Claudet, Terrebonne Parish President

LONG BEACH SKATEPARK – Long Beach, New York
FIREMAN’S SKATE & BIKE PARK – Houma, Louisiana
