<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Work Experience: <br />Select Structural Engineering – Structural Engineer, PM & Board of Directors (2008 – Present) <br />Matt is responsible for structural design and analysis including new building design, analysis of existing <br />structures and forensic structural investigations. <br />He plans and conducts structural engineering work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, <br />selection and substantial adaptation of standard techniques, procedures, and project criteria. He designs and <br />analyzes work which involves complex features and design requirements. He provides plan review, calculation <br />review and code check requirements. He also performs engineering calcuations and creates construction <br />drawings, details and reports. <br />As a leader within the firm, Matt also supervises and coordinates the work of junior engineers, assistant <br />engineers and technicians. <br />Knapp-Wardern Architecture & Engineering – Structural Engineer & PM <br />Planned and designed construction documents from conception to completion including AutoCAD drafting. <br />Structural analysis and calculations for steel, concrete, timber and aluminum structures - including foundation <br />design. Resolved design and constructability problems, presented new ideas and recommended engineering <br />related solutions. Created and checked shop drawings for adherence to specifications, plans. <br />Project Role: <br />For the Orono Park project, Matt will collaborate with our design team and inject his engineering expertise to <br />technical design aspects including site preparation, slab design, freeze/thaw measures and stormwater <br />management.
