Minutes of the Sherburne/Wright County Cable Commission Executive Committee <br /> • Wednesday, February 24, 2011, 11:15 a.m. <br /> Buffalo City Hall <br /> Present: Chair Myles McGrath,Commissioners Mert Auger and Tina Allard (11:25 a.m.) <br /> Absent: None <br /> Also present: Technology Consultant Bill Bruce,Attorney Bob Vose and Big Lake Representative <br /> Gina Wolbeck <br /> 1. Call to Order <br /> Chair McGrath called the meeting to order at 11:15 a.m. <br /> 2. Discuss Franchise Agreement Issues Regarding Windstream <br /> Attorney Vose provided an update regarding a letter that Windstream sent out to customers in <br /> Big Lake and Maple Lake.The letter indicated they would no longer offer cable service on <br /> their own but would be offering satellite package deals.The letter further stated that <br /> customers currently on Windstream's land line system could remain on it. <br /> There was discussion on the possible breaches to the franchise agreements with these cities. <br /> MOVED BY COMMISSIONER AUGER AND SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER <br /> • MCGRATH FOR THE COMMISSION ATTORNEY TO PERFORM MORE <br /> RESEARCH ON THIS ISSUE AND TO DETERMINE WHAT THE DAMAGES <br /> WOULD BE TO THE COMMISSION. MOTION CARRIED 3-0. <br /> 3.
