Mr. Bruce stated it <br /> shouldn't be an issue. <br /> MOVED BY COMMISSIONER ORROCK AND SECONDED BY <br /> COMMISSIONER MCGRATH TO AUTHORIZE THE PURCHASE OF AN <br /> INDOOR MOVIE SCREEN IN THE AMOUNT OF $4,189 PLUS SHIPPING AND <br /> TAX. MOTION CARRIED 8-0. <br /> Mr. Bruce noted that some cities are leaving the monitors on in their Council Chambers and <br /> cable rooms. He asked that cities make sure equipment is turned off when not in use in order <br /> for it to last longer. <br /> Mr.Bruce discussed some signal issues in Big Lake. <br /> 6. Programming Report <br /> Mr. Davis provided an update of the previous quarter as outlined in his staff report. <br /> 7. Report from Charter Communications-Tucker Carlson <br /> Mr. Carlson provided an overview of the organizational changes at Charter. He further <br /> reviewed new products and stated that Internet speeds would be increasing. <br /> 8. Commission Business <br /> a. Discuss Policy Regarding Requests to Join SWC4 Commission <br /> The subcommittee distributed a handout of draft recommendations for allowing <br /> other cities to join the SWC4. Mr.Bruce suggested some commission members visit <br /> our cities and Councils to explain the purpose of the Commission. Ms. Schuman <br /> questioned if these recommendations could be phased in or added as a policy. Mr. <br /> Vose stated another option would be to have contracts with other cities for services. <br /> Ms. Schuman expressed concern with making the contract option too favorable <br /> because member cities may wish to withdraw from the commission. Commission <br /> members generally favored a policy. Ms.Allard was unsure if she was in favor of the <br /> policy and wanted more time to review it. <br /> b. 2011 Movie in the Parks Dates <br /> This item was moved to last. Cities picked their preferred dates for 2011 movies. <br /> 9. Upcoming Meeting Dates <br /> The next commission meeting is scheduled for Thursday,February 3,2011 in Watertown. <br /> 10.
