• <br /> After Bill reviewed the 1st Quarter equipment requests,A motion to approve <br /> the recommended equipment purchases was made by Myles McGrath, Dassel <br /> with a second by Don Levens, Cokato,motion passed. <br /> 6. Programming Report-Mark Davis <br /> Mr. Davis handed out a report that he had prepared that highlighted some of <br /> the programs he had worked on during the quarter. These included the <br /> Northstar Commuter Rail Opening in Big Lake and Elk River, The Maple <br /> Lake fishing tournament and a Tax Payers Forum with State Representative <br /> Mary Kiffiueyer. <br /> Mark also talked about the necessity of developing a commission logo. Here <br /> presented several examples. He asked the commission for input on the logo <br /> development. Don Levens, Cokato made a motion to have Mr. Davis and Bill <br /> Bruce determine the needed parameters for the logo and develop it further. <br /> Myles McGrath, Dassel seconded the motion. The motion was approved. <br /> 6. Commission Business <br /> a. Personnel Committee report • <br /> Myles McGrath, Dassel told the commission members that the personnel <br /> committee had reviewed the responses from Mark's 6 month review. The <br /> commission discussed the comments and Don Levens asked that Mark be as <br /> high profile as possible in the cities. He made a motion to accept the <br /> committee's report and to raise Mr. Davis's salary; this was seconded by Don <br /> Orrock, Big Lake. After further discussion the motion was passed. <br /> b. Discuss Production Coordinator position <br /> Chair Phil Kern, Delano reviewed the status of the work being done on <br /> developing the employee agreement. He recommended that it be forwarded to <br /> Rockford and the employee committee for their review. <br /> c. Discuss 2010 Franchise Fee payments <br /> Mert Auger,Buffalo made a motion that the commission return 3 out of 4 <br /> quarters of the 2010 franchise fees not including PEG fees as a reimbursement <br /> of cable related expenses that each member city had incurred. Phil Kern <br /> seconded the motion with the hope that it was not an annual reimbursement. <br /> Motion Passed. <br />
