Sherburne Wright Cable Commission <br /> Equipment Report <br /> November 5thth, 2015 <br /> Trailer <br /> Audio Mixer <br /> We have made some upgrades to the audio system in the production trailer. The biggest is a new <br /> digital audio mixer to replace the analog one. This allows us to use 1 cat 5 cable to run up to 8 <br /> microphones from a remote location. <br /> Previously if we had a shoot in a gym or theater to cover a concert or event that needed to use <br /> many microphones or audio sources we had to run a separate XLR cable to each microphone <br /> location all the way back to the trailer. That distance can be up to 300 feet and putting out 300 <br /> feet of cable for each microphone can be very time consuming and messy with all those cables. <br /> Microphone cables are also very expensive and 2400 feet of cable adds up. <br /> Now we have to run only (1) cat 5 cable for that 300 foot span.
