Discuss Post Office Relocation Issues Paul Steinman informed the HRA that staff has met with post office officials regarding their plans to relocate from their existing location to a site on Highway 169. He indicated that representatives of the post office have confirmed that they are not interested in pursuing a Central Business District location for any portion of their facility. Paul Steinman stated that he has invited the post office to make a presentation to the EDA on August 9. Paul invited the HRA to attend. COMMISSIONER HINKLE MOVED TO CALL A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE HRA ON AUGUST 9 AT 6:00 P.M.TO HEAR A PRESENTATION FROM THE POSTAL SERVICE REGARDING THE RELOCATION OF THE POST OFFICE. COMMISSIONER THOMPSON SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 5-0. 7. Central Business District Action Plan Updates Marc Nevinski, Assistant Director of Economic Development, updated the HRA on the Strategic Planning Process in regard to the Central Business District activities. 8. Other Business Paul Steinman invited the HRA to attend a 4:00 meeting on July 12 to review the •• Strategic Plan. COMMISSIONER THOMPSON MOVED TO CALL A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE HRA ON JULY 12, 1999, FROM 4:00-6:00 P.M., TO HOLD A WORK SESSION IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE HRA, EDA,AND COUNCIL TO DISCUSS THE STRATEGIC PLANNING PROCESS. COMMISSIONER WILSON SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 5-0. 9. Adjournment There being no further business, COMMISSIONER THOMPSON MOVED TO ADJOURN THE MEETING.
