He further indicated that he did not feel it was realistic to ask the same dollars per square foot for land downtown as for land located on Highway 169. Vice Mayor Kropuenske indicated his concern that the site be opened up to other developers who are interested in developing the area. After further discussion it was the consensus of the HRA to allow Executive Director Paul Steinman the flexibility to negotiate the cost of the land with potential tenants. 5.2. Update on Other Activities Downtown Executive Director Paul Steinman updated the HRA on downtown activities including the Olde Main Eatery, the former Snyder building, and the Star News building. 5.3. Update on River's Edge Activities by Shelle Perleberg Shelle Perleberg, president of River's Edge Downtown Development Corporation, updated the HRA on upcoming activities of the Corporation. She indicated that some of the main issues of the Corporation include sidewalk replacement, painting of another mural in the downtown area, extensive Christmas lighting, and revitalization of the downtown area. She indicated that the Corporation's Mission Statement is "to try to preserve the historic value of the downtown area." Discussion was held by the HRA indicating its interest in continuing to work with the Downtown Development Corporation and the fact that the downtown is a • part of the city's master plan and will continue to be discussed by the HRA, Planning Commission, and city staff. 6. Other Business There was no other business. 7. Adjournment There being no further business, COMMISSIONER WILSON MOVED TO ADJOURN THE MEETING. COMMISSIONER FARBER SECONDED THE MOTION.
