• Justin Femrite and Brandon Wisner facilitated the restructuring of the YMCA pond back <br /> into two separate ponds how it had previously been before the YMCA was built. This <br /> was required because we backwash Well#4 into the pond. In the future, the YMCA will <br /> be responsible for part of the pond maintenance, and we will be responsible for our own <br /> part. <br /> • Verizon Wireless is getting closer to installing antennas on the Auburn Street Water <br /> Tower. Troy Adams is working on the contract and I am working on the site plans. After <br /> this site is completed,we will have six attachment agreements on three different water <br /> towers. <br /> • We met again with Kodet Architectural. They have produced a couple of different <br /> variations for the future field services expansion. We have not decided on a direction for <br /> the new building, the current buildings, or the field services property. We have worked <br /> hard with Brandon Wisner and Kristin Mroz from the city to ensure we are sensitive to <br /> the wetlands located on the property. As we progress further in the process, we will bring <br /> site and building plans to the commission. <br /> • The water department will be hosting an intern from St. Cloud's Technical College Water <br /> Environmental Technologies(WET) Program. He will be shadowing the water operators <br /> October 26-30. <br /> • I have been appointed as co-chair for the Training and Education Committee for the <br /> Minnesota Section of the American Water Works Association(MN-AWWA).
