10.

11.

ae

Conservation. Properties adjacent to the north, south and west are zoned for both Mineral
Excavation and Agricultural Conservation. Active gravel mines are operating adjacent to
the north and south of the site and across Trunk Highway 169 to the west. Figure 5 in
Attachment A shows the properties zoned for mineral excavation in the surrounding
area. Rezoning for Mineral Excavation at this property is currently pending.

The information reviewed does not indicate environmental hazards due to past land use.

Cover types. Estimate the acreage of the site with each of the following cover types
before and after development:

Before After

Types 1-8 wetlands

15.51 17.51

Wooded/forest 7.17 6.82

Brush/Grassland

36.22 2.22

Cropland 0 0

Lawn/landscaping

0.80 0.80

Impervious surfaces

0.53 0.53

Other (Open Water)

0 32.35

TOTAL 60.23 60.23

If Before and After totals are not equal, explain why:

The estimated acreage of cover types at the Site is based on the percentage of various
cover types as determined from review of the aerial photographs and site survey. At this
time it is estimated that mining activities will occur in brush/grassland and wetland areas.
Some of the type 2 wetlands will be converted to type 5 wetlands and two small wetland
areas, one in the northern portion and one in the eastern portion of the site will be
impacted and mitigated on-site and using wetland credits from the adjacent site at the
required replacement ratios. A wetland Impact and Mitigation Map is included as Figure
10 in Attachment A.

Fish, wildlife and ecologically sensitive resources

Identify fish and wildlife resources and habitats on or near the site and describe
how they would be affected by the project. Describe any measures to be taken to
minimize or avoid impacts.

Fish and wildlife resources on and near the Site include the wetland areas located at the
Site. Alteration of the wetlands is anticipated to occur primarily as conversion of type 2
