The <br />Governor and the NCDA are seeking $37.5 million in Iow-interest bonding from <br />the Minnesota Legislature. <br /> <br />Stations are proposed for Big Lake, Elk River, Anoka, Coon Rapids, Frldley and <br />Minneapolis. The route was recently modified to meet the FTA's new, more <br />stringen[ cost-effectiveness standard. The NCDA is committed to gaining <br />approval in future years for a secc~nd phase to e~tend the line from Big Lake to <br />the St. Cloud area. <br /> <br />The NCDA is a joint powers board of 30 counties, ci[ies, townships and regional <br />railroad authorities along the corridor.
