I 0 <br /> <br />MEMORANDUM <br /> <br />TO: <br /> <br />FROM: <br /> <br />Mayor and City Co.uncil <br />Michele McPherso~irector of Planning <br /> <br />DATE: <br /> <br />August 16, 2004 <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Consider Ordering Boundary and Topographic Survey for the <br /> Street Department Property and the Library Property <br /> <br />The Planning staff has been working the City Administrator and Librarian, as well as the <br />Streets Superintendent to master plan the Library and Public Works furore expansions. <br />Additional detailed site information is now required to continue this work. <br /> <br />Attachments <br /> <br /> Memo from the City Engineer Regarding Costs of Boundary and Topographic Surveys <br />· Public Works Existing Condition Plan <br />· Library Aerial Photo <br /> <br />Library Survey <br /> <br />While the City has completed previous expansions to the Library, staff does not have access <br />to survey or topographic information. In addition, two single-family homes have been <br />acquired for the future expansion of the Library. In order to complete accurate concept and <br />develop parking and storm pond plans, topographic and boundary surveys are needed by <br />staff. The City Engineer has submitted a proposal not to exceed $7,300 to complete a <br />boundary and topographic survey for the Library site. <br /> <br />Public Works Facility <br /> <br />The Street Superintendent, in the Capital Improvements Budget, has identified the need for <br />a new salt storage facility, a tempered storage building, and a building addition. In order to <br />process these additions, a Conditional Use Permit will be required and accurate site <br />information is needed. In addition to having basic site information such as a boundary <br />survey and site topography, there are wetlands located on the site, which must be delineated <br /> <br /> <br />
