Discussion: King & Main Project • Paul Steinman, Director of Economic Development, discussed with the Commission the implications of the purchase of the King and Main project and the budgeted line item to begin repaying this loan. Lori Johnson, Assistant City Administrator explained the schedule for repayment of the loan by the HRA. 7. Approve 1997 HRA Budget and Levy COMMISSIONER FARBER MOVED TO APPROVE THE 1997 HRA BUDGET IN THE AMOUNT OF$68,000. COMMISSIONER HINKLE SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 4-0. COMMISSIONER WILSON MOVED TO APPROVE RESOLUTION 96-1, A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING THE TAX LEVY FOR THE ELK RIVER HOUSING AND REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY FOR COLLECTION IN 1997. COMMISSIONER FARBER SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 4-0. 8. Appoint Paul Steinman as Executive Director of the Elk River Housing and Redevelopment Authority COMMISSIONER HINKLE MOVED TO APPOINT PAUL STEINMAN AS EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF THE HOUSING AND REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY. COMMISSIONER WILSON SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 4-0. 40 9. Discussion: By-law Revisions This issue will be discussed further at the September HRA meeting. It was the consensus of the HRA to have staff develop recommendations for by- laws changes for the September meeting. 10. Other Business Commissioner Hinkle stated there is a house for sale on Jackson Avenue with an asking price of$59,900 and that he would like staff to look into potential involvement of the HRA to help redevelop the property. 11. Adiournment There being no further business, COMMISSIONER HINKLE MOVED TO ADJOURN THE MEETING. COMMISSIONER FARBER SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 4-0.
