Housing and Redevelopment Authority Minutes Page 2 <br /> September 25, 1989 <br /> represents ndicated that the downtown redevelopment group private <br /> p t <br /> business owners and property owners whereas the riverfront <br /> development would be considered more of a public project. <br /> COMMISSIONER KROPUENSKE MOVED TO ADOPT RESOLUTION 89-2, A RESOLUTION <br /> APPROVING THE CITY OF ELK RIVER HOUSING AND REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY <br /> BUDGET FOR 1990 AS FOLLOWS: <br /> DOWNTOWN REDEVELOPMENT - $3,000 <br /> RIVERFRONT DEVELOPMENT - $15,000 <br /> RESERVE - $ 3,000 <br /> COMMISSIONER HINKLE SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 3-0. <br /> COMMISSIONER HINKLE MOVED TO DESIGNATE ANY REMAINING 1989 HRA FUNDS <br /> TO THE RIVERFRONT DEVELOPMENT. COMMISSIONER KROPUENSKE SECONDED THE <br /> MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 3-0. <br /> Chair Gunkel stated that it would be appropriate for the HRA to be <br /> invited to any meetings concerning the Riverfront Development. <br /> 6. Consideration of 1989 Tax Levy <br /> • Lori Johnson, Finance Director, indicated that the HRA has the <br /> authority to levy .0081 percent of the taxable market value in the <br /> area of operation for redevelopment purposes. She indicated that <br /> this percentage amount would be approximately $21,000. <br /> COMMISSIONER KROPUENSKE MOVED TO ADOPT RESOLUTION 89-3, A RESOLUTION <br /> ESTABLISHING THE TAX LEVY FOR THE ELK RIVER HOUSING AND REDEVELOPMENT <br /> AUTHORITY FOR COLLECTION IN 1990. COMMISSIONER HINKLE SECONDED THE <br /> MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 3-0. <br /> 8. Adjournment <br /> There being no further business, COMMISSIONER KROPUENSKE MOVED TO <br /> ADJOURN THE MEETING OF THE HRA. COMMISSIONER HINKLE SECONDED THE <br /> MOTION.
