THE MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br />6.7, <br /> <br />Request by City of Elk River for Ordinance Amendment to Revise DesJ.qn <br />Standards in the Business Park Zonin.q District, Public Hearin.q, Case No. aA 00-7 <br /> <br />Scott Harlicker indicated that the City of Elk River is requesting to amend the <br />design standards for the Business Park zoning district and to eliminate multi-tenant <br />buildings as a conditional use. Scott Harlicker reviewed the staff report on this <br />issue. The design standards issues included: 1.) load spaces/overhead doors and <br />2.) architectural design/building materials. <br /> <br />Mayor Klinzing opened the public hearing. There being no one for or against the <br />maurer, Mayor Klinzing closed the public hearing. <br /> <br />Planning Commission Representative Louise Kuester indicated that the Planning <br />Commission and staff spent many hours researching and discussing the proposed <br />amendments. She indicated that it was the Planning Commission's intent to <br />encourage creativity and design in commercial and industrial buildings. <br /> <br />Mayor Klinzing noted that she was aware of the many hours spent by the <br />Planning Commission on this issue and thanked the commission for their <br />recommendation. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER MATIN MOVED TO ADOPT ORDINANCE 00-16 AMENDING <br />SECTION 900.12(16) PERTAINING TO BUSINESS PARK DISTRICT, CASE NO. aA 00-7. <br />COUNCILMEMBER DIETZ SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br />7. Staff Updates <br /> <br />The city administrator indicated that the fire chief would have an update on the <br />Fire Station remodeling at the next council meeting. <br /> <br />8. Other Business <br /> <br />The city clerk informed the council of the Homecoming parade on October 6. <br /> <br />9.
