It's hard to choose just a <br /> <br />· Power Hour-this program allows mem- <br /> bers to do their homework in a quiet, <br /> supportive setting while earning incentive <br /> points. Members can then use their <br /> "Power Points" to purchase various items <br /> including Nike shoes and apparel. <br />· Project Learn.this is also a homework <br /> program but includes the use of tu- <br /> tors, writing activities, discussion and <br /> goal setting as well as possible com- <br /> munity service projects. <br />· Torch Club-a young leadership pro- <br /> gram to teach members the impor- <br /> tance of community service. <br />· Smart Moves--Nationally recognized <br /> program that helps young people re- <br /> sist alcohol, tobacco and other drugs <br /> as well as sexual responsibility <br />· Smart Girls-a program to teach girls <br /> ages I 0-15 about healthy attitudes <br /> and lifestyles. <br />· Scholarshop-a program designed to aid <br /> members in post-secondary decisions <br /> and career choices. <br />· Passport to Manhood-a program to <br /> teach boys ages I I-14 positive values <br /> and responsible behavior. <br />· Ultimate Journey-an environmental <br /> program designed to teach members <br /> about plants and animals. <br />· Fitness Authority-a program to teach <br /> members the importance of physical <br /> activity, positive use of leisure time <br /> and positive stress management skills. <br />· Culture C/ub-through participation in <br /> discovery-based activities, members <br /> develop an awareness of the environ- <br /> ment and acquire a better under- <br /> standing of how human actions affect <br /> nature. <br /> <br />· Kids In Control-a safety awareness pro- <br /> gram covering home alone skills, first <br /> aid, severe weather, conflict resolu~ <br /> tion, water safety, neighborhood <br /> safety, and anger management. <br /> <br /> <br />
